RHS Garden Wisley
Wisteria don’t tend to bloom in all their full glory at RHS Garden Wisley until May, but with the recent warm weather some signs are certainly starting to show! Wisteria is one of the signature plants at Wisley, with several beautiful varieties to be spotted. Head to the Rock Garden to see lilac Japanese wisteria, and make your way to the iconic Wisteria Walk to see white and royal purple varieties that have been planted so they grow intertwined with each other, creating a stunning tapestry.

Hampton Court Palace
Hampton Court Palace is home to a magical wisteria tunnel, where you can walk through a vibrant wonderland of dangling blossom, as if transported into a fairy tale world. On top of this, one of the palace’s walls is completely covered by a Chinese wisteria specimen planted all the way back around 1840.

Cheyne Walk, Chelsea
This gorgeous, historic riverside walk is full of beautiful houses to see – and at this time of year it’s dotted with wisterias in true full bloom. Enjoy a stroll down the street, admire the purple flower dappled houses, before heading to one of Chelsea’s many great gastropubs for lunch and drinks in the spring sun.
The Green, Richmond
Richmond is always an amazing choice for a weekend day out, with its village vibes and gorgeous countryside walks. At this time of year you can spot the magical draping blossoms of wisteria across the area, particularly on Old Palace Lane, just off the corner from The Green.
