About the Time & Leisure Food and Culture Awards
The Time & Leisure Food and Culture Awards are the premier celebration of the people, places and experiences that make south west London and Surrey such vibrant places to live, work and visit. Recognising excellence across hospitality, food, drink, arts, culture and community, the awards shine a spotlight on the businesses, organisations and individuals that residents genuinely value and support.
Voted for by readers of Time & Leisure magazine and its media channels and visiting clientele, the awards reflect the most authentic choices of the communities they serve. From much-loved neighbourhood independents and hidden local gems to Michelin-starred restaurants, acclaimed cultural institutions and world-class festivals, the awards celebrate the places that create memorable experiences and enrich everyday life.
The awards embrace the full spectrum of local excellence. They champion businesses on our high streets, parades and town centres, alongside local producers, makers and brands, creating a true field-to-fork celebration of the region’s food and hospitality sector. They also recognise the cultural organisations, venues and events that bring people together, from small community festivals that foster connection and belonging to major theatres, attractions and entertainment experiences that attract audiences from far and wide.
At their heart, the awards are about recognising those who contribute to the quality, character and prosperity of our places. Supported by Business Improvement Districts, chambers of commerce and organisations committed to strengthening local communities, they celebrate not only commercial success but also the positive impact businesses and cultural organisations have on the people around them.
The awards culminate in a prestigious celebration at the Rose Theatre, bringing together finalists, judges, partners and supporters from across the region. It is an opportunity to celebrate achievement, build new relationships and showcase the exceptional food, drink and cultural experiences that define south west London and Surrey.
With categories spanning food, drink, hospitality, arts, culture, attractions and town centres, the awards recognise excellence in all its forms. Every finalist receives recognition, reflecting the appreciation and support of the customers, audiences and communities who nominated and voted for them.
