The eight-member K-pop boy group – made up of Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N – have quickly become one of the biggest names in K-pop and their two nights at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in front of 125,000 is just another step in their global takeover.

Before Stray Kids made their entrance to the stage, ‘SKZ Anthems’ were blasted over the speakers and the whole crowd stopped what they were doing and sang word for word and instantly there was a big shift in the energy. Even without a support act, the fans were instantly ready for the show.

This energy reached a boiling point when the group were introduced with ‘MOUNTAINS,’ ‘Thunderous’ and ‘JJAM’, joined by around 20 backup dancers.

The early highlights of the set were the back-to-back performances of ‘Chk Chk Boom’ and ‘DOMINO’, which were enhanced by the live band and heavy rock riffs. From the production to the visual effects, it was evident that SKZ and their team had pulled out all the stops to give the fans a unique and immersive experience at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with pyrotechnics, confetti cannons, strobe lights and fireworks.

The main section of the show ended in thrilling fashion with high-octane performances of ‘MEGAVERSE’ and ‘MANIAC’ and my personal favourite, ‘LALALALA.’ The latter is an upbeat Dance / Hip Hop track and its infectious energy was encapsulated by pyrotechnics that lit up the stage. There was also an incredible moment as fireworks lit up the North London sky from the stadium roof.

Without a doubt, the most memorable moment of the show took place during the encore when Stray Kids were paraded around the stadium in floats whilst huge inflatables of their SKZOO – cartoon characters which represent each member – followed behind them. It was as if the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade had come to London for the Summer.

It was a mesmerising moment that gave fans all around the stadium an opportunity to see the group perform up close. I had never seen anything like this before and it was an innovative moment that kept the concert fresh and exciting for everyone involved.

Stray Kids encapsulate everything that’s exciting and appealing about K-pop as they created such an incredible atmosphere in their stadium shows that brought people together from all different walks of life for a magical evening on the biggest stages.

The two huge Stray Kids shows are just part of a huge Summer for K-culture in London, as BLACKPINK will be headlining two nights at Wembley Stadium in August, as K-pop continues to grow and become a mainstream force in the UK and shows no sign of slowing down.
