What’s on This February Half Term

Great ways to keep the kids entertained this February half term in London and Surrey, from outdoor fun to creative theatre shows!

Brooklands Museum

Weybridge

Brooklands Museum celebrates the 100th anniversary of the 1st Grand Prix held at the racetrack this half term with a week of family fun.  Build your own racers in their Mini Mechanics family workshop or take on their new Scavenger Hunt to find the racing flags around the Museum. Plus: car rides, bus rides, and Concorde family tours.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Richmond Theatre, 18-21 February

BROS Theatre Company presents Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Richmond Theatre. Based on the iconic children’s book, this spectacular stage show combines the memorable songs from the original 1970s motion picture with all-new numbers. The perfect family theatre fix for half term.

SwimWay Crash Courses

16-20 February

SwimWay’s tailored crash courses are designed to build confidence, refine technique, and provide the perfect preparation for the holidays. All sessions follow SwimWay’s teaching methodology, without the use of flotation devices, ensuring genuine skills development and water confidence.

Locations: Queen’s Gate/South Kensington, Kensington/Holland Park, Clapham Common, Wimbledon and Balham.

Half Term at Epsom Playhouse

Kids can enjoy a range of fun shows at Epsom Playhouse this half term. On 15th February there’s an Adventures in Science show at 2:30pm. On 16th February at 2pm you can enjoy The Groovy UV Show, a fun hour of puppetry and mayhem. Circus lovers should come along to the Cartoon Circus on 17th February at 2:30pm, and on the 19th February at 1pm and 3:30pm there’s a beautiful ballet show featuring dazzling dancers and Tchaikovsky’s sumptuous score.

Lunar New Year Celebration

Morden Hall Park, 18 February

Kids can celebrate the Lunar New Year during half term with creative craft sessions in the Stableyard Exhibition Space with Play Mandarin. Then welcome in the Year of the Horse with the free dragon dance starting in the Stableyard at 1pm.

Half Term at Winkworth Arboretum

Godalming

Kids can pick up the trail sheet and explore the arboretum. Then head over to the natural play area where you’ll find rope tunnels, bridges, a climbing wall and more to create your own adventure amongst the trees.

Tree Tales

Claremont Landscape Garden

From ancient favourites to quirky characters, children will uncover fun facts, surprising secrets and the stories hidden among Claremont’s branches and roots.

Mudfest

WWT London Wetland Centre, Barnes

Mudfest at WWT London Wetland Centre will be running throughout half term, and will have an array of activities (Mud art, nest building, Make a Mud Tree Guardian and seed bomb making).

Escape to a world of mystery at Hampton Court Palace. Step back in time, join a royal quest and see if you can win over Queen Elizabeth I. Plus: the Magic Garden Playground reopens for half term.
