Prevention Over Cure
Treating signs of ageing after they appear might become a thing of the past thanks to one of the aesthetics industry’s leading trends for 2025: prejuvenation. The treatment regimes approach signs of ageing from a different angle, looking to stimulate collagen production and support the skin barrier to minimise skin concerns around skin laxity, pigmentation, and even help reduce the appearance of wrinkles before they happen.
The results come from a combination of at-home skincare with non-surgical treatments with a professional. Powerful and proven skincare products could kickstart the process, whilst salon treatments like Profhilo (a ‘beneath the skin’ hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment to hydrate and plump from within), laser resurfacing and even ’Baby Botox’ are popular for prejuvenation seekers.
When it comes to finding a practitioner, look for someone that offers an in-depth consultation to ensure your treatment plan is tailored to both your skin type and end goals. After all, beauty is never one size fits all.
Make-Up Goes Bold
Expect to amp up otherwise subtle and simple make-up looks with pops of metallics and holographic tones to add a fun twist. As with all make-up trends, the ability to adapt to your own style only adds to the result, so whether it’s a full metallic eye look or adding a touch of shimmer in the inner corner to brighten, there’s a way to make it work for you.
When it comes to choosing your shade, metallic silvers still reign supreme, whilst gold and bronze tones allow for a more subtle shimmer on darker skin tones. Meanwhile, lip colour is rich and luscious.

Wellness From Within
The wellness world has been singing the praises of biohacking for a while, with the idea that you can ‘hack’ your biology to enhance your health. Particular interest is being paid to how to heal from the inside out, whether that be improving gut health through pre- and pro-biotics, adapting your morning smoothie recipe to add seamoss and collagen powders, or taking time to boost and reset with IV-drips.
Red light therapy is also continuing to skyrocket in popularity thanks to the growing number of at-home LED devices available on the beauty market. As brands like Shark and CurrentBody offer beauty boosts from the comfort of your bedroom, use your DIY device as a top up between in-clinic LED treatments to improve skin health, encourage wound healing, and even boost your sleep levels and mood.
Time To Combine
This year, we will continue to see a rise in the number of combination frequencies during professional treatments. Combining multiple practices – such as microneedling and radio frequency treatments – can not only lead to better results by increasing the benefits for your skin, but also reduces downtime
The New Hair Colour
The rich chocolate brown tones we’ve been fawning over are now taking a more muted approach as mushroom browns are set to become the stars of our hair moodboards. To achieve the mushroom brown style of your dreams, make sure you and your stylist are on the same page about incorporating cool tones throughout to create a muted, ashy colour.
The colour can be transitioned into spring/summer with the addition of cool-toned highlights or soft balayage, or deepened for the colder months for a dark mushroom mane.
Big hair is back as sleek blow outs are switched for retro waves and mega volume in 2025. This trend is perfect for those blessed with curls of their own to take time away from heat treatments and let your natural texture have its moment.
Treatment add-ons will offer time to work on the neck and décolletage following years of focus on the face. Think 10-minute LED top ups, anti-ageing masks and fractional lasers to stimulate collagen production in the skin.
Start Sculpting
For your nails, a new treatment trend is set to hit the big time for 2025: Bio Sculpture. The vegan gel formula sets itself apart from other nail treatments thanks to the care and thought put into nail health, with each manicure built on a base treatment layer selected by your tech for your individual nail needs.
Mineral Magic
This year, if you haven’t already, look to swap out chemical SPFs in favour of mineral formula sunscreens, which create a barrier to protect against sun damage thanks to the inclusion of zinc oxide or titanium dioxide.
Whilst you need to be wary of the potential white cast left by some of these products, the benefits well outweigh the risk thanks to these formulas being gentle on acne prone and sensitive skin types, as well as proving safer for marine life.
