Said to be one of the friendliest comedy clubs in the country, The Banana Cabaret has been providing weekend laughs in Balham for over three decades. One of London’s longest running, stand-up comedy clubs, it is located at the highly-respected unrivalled pub, The Bedford, which has a history stretching back to 1931. This intimate venue has hosted some favourite house-hold name comics, including Rob Brydon, Lee Evans and Jo Brand, but is also a springboard for new and emerging artists too.

6 The New Victoria Theatre

Again, not a comedy club, but it still hosts some of the biggest names in the industry to guarantee lots of laugh and fun! The New Victoria Theatre’s main focus is first class drama, but this foremost venue still undoubtedly knows how to put on interesting, innovative and downright funny comedy in the south east of England. Rather than multi-bill nights, it hosts long solo shows from some of the best stand-up acts, including Josh Widdicombe, Jack Dee and Jimmy Carr.
