Award-Winning Holiday Camps in South West London & Surrey for Children Aged 4–11
As the school holidays approach, many parents begin searching for activities that are not only enjoyable, but genuinely enriching too. While there are plenty of Holiday Camps to choose from, finding one that combines creativity, confidence-building and high-quality childcare can feel much harder.
For families across South West London and Surrey, The Strings Club has become a trusted choice.
Founded by professional musician and mum Amy Cunningham, The Strings Club has spent over a decade inspiring children through the joy of music. Since welcoming its first campers in Camden in 2012, the award-winning Holiday Camp has grown to more than 20 venues across the UK, introducing almost half a million children to the lifelong benefits of music, creativity and friendship.
Hosted at over 15 venues across London including Balham, Dulwich, Fulham, Kingston upon Thames, Richmond and Wimbledon, The Strings Club welcomes children aged 4–11 for days filled with music, imagination and discovery. Whether a child is naturally musical or simply loves trying something new, every activity is designed to help them feel included, encouraged and proud of what they achieve.
Each day combines interactive guitar, violin or ukulele sessions with exciting themed creative workshops, energetic games and outdoor play, creating a balanced programme that children genuinely look forward to.
Founder Amy Cunningham believes music has the power to create moments that stay with children long after the holidays are over.
“One of my favourite things is seeing children grow in confidence over the course of their time with us. It might be learning their first tune, making a new friend or simply finding the courage to give something new a go. Those little moments are often the ones that stay with them. We want every child to leave The Strings Club feeling happy, encouraged and proud of themselves, with wonderful memories of a holiday well spent.”
For parents, it offers the reassurance that their child is spending the holidays in a welcoming, supportive environment where they’re encouraged to be creative, try new things, make friends and return home full of stories to tell.
The Strings Club’s carefully curated programme ensures every child feels comfortable taking part, regardless of previous musical experience. Instruments are provided, with free instrument hire available for children attending more than one day, allowing families to experience music without needing to invest in equipment.
Parents value the experience just as much as the children do. Alongside engaging activities, families benefit from daily updates, private photo galleries and the reassurance of high-quality childcare delivered by experienced, enthusiastic staff.
The Strings Club has built an outstanding reputation for quality, receiving the Feefo Platinum Trusted Service Award 2026, achieving ‘Above Standard’ in its three most recent Ofsted inspections and earning more than 500 verified 5★ reviews from families. As an Ofsted-registered provider, camps also accept all major childcare vouchers and Tax-Free Childcare, helping make high-quality holiday childcare more accessible.
Flexible booking options allow families to choose anything from a single day to a full week, making it easy to fit around holiday plans while giving children the chance to enjoy as much of the experience as they like.
