Festival of Motorsport Weekend
Brooklands Relived, a well-established fixture in the sporting calendar, will return for the weekend of 14th-15th June on the site of the world’s first purpose-built racetrack in Weybridge, Surrey. The weekend will see two days of the fi nest drivers pitting iconic pre-1960s vehicles against the clock, the judges, and the venue.
A weekend filled with action, on Saturday visitors will be able to spectate the Sprint competition on the Mercedes-Benz World’s track, right next to Brooklands Museum, as well as exhilarating Race Starts on the historic Brooklands site.
Recreating the atmosphere and glory days of Brooklands, Sunday’s activities will hear the roar of engines competing in the Auto Tests on the original racetrack, testing drivers’ skills and precision, and thrilling Test Hill ascents happening throughout the day. The Pride of Ownership Concours competition will also take place, showcasing vehicles from the Edwardian period through to the 1960s. Judging will be based on originality and authenticity, where the vehicle’s history is just as important as its patina or polished appearance.
Records will be set or broken, individual competitions won and lost, and somebody will become the overall champion for 2025.
Music will fill the site alongside special appearances by vocal trio The Knightingales, period re-enactors will be engaging across the site, and Surrey Jive will be performing and encouraging visitors to get on their feet. There will be opportunities to find mementos in a bustling trade village, a range of delicious food stalls as well as traditional lawn games to entertain both children and adults alike. Period dress is optional but encouraged!
