Honest Burgers was recently crowned winner of the National Burger Awards 2026, winning National Burger of the Year for their new offering ‘The Honest.’ We ventured to Honest Burgers Wimbledon to try it out for ourselves…
A warm friendly welcome awaited and a charming table was offered as I stepped through the door at Honest Burgers, getting our dining experience off to a fine start.
I was hungry and had heard very good things about The Honest Burger that won a National Burger Award this year. So, despite a charming explanation from the waiter about Honest Burgers’ menu options, my rumbling tummy was pretty focussed on the award-winning burger.
Honest Burgers is located on Wimbledon Broadway, opposite New Wimbledon Theatre. The spacious restaurant has plenty of bar seating if you’re eating alone or casual dining, plus some nice booths for families. Great for a meal out whilst out shopping in Wimbledon Town Centre, on the way to the Polka Theatre with the family or a pre-show meal at Wimbledon Theatre. To support local, Honest Burgers in Wimbledon has entered into a collaboration with Local Cheese Cave with the Ogleshield cheese featuring in a burger. It’s always good to see businesses working together in Wimbledon.

My meal arrived promptly, making it a great option for a work lunch. I’m glad to say the showstopper burger didn’t fail to deliver. The appetisingly layered up burger was a feast of crispy bacon slices, two beef patties, cheese and pickled cucumber dill and relish. The generous portions served up good value for money as well as exceptional taste and quality.
The Honest Burger packs a punch of BBQ flavours with well-done burger patties that taste of real meat. Finessed with a delicious BBQ relish and the most exquisite pickled cucumber and dill, you have richness combined with freshness that makes this burger unique and stand out from other burgers. Absolutely deserving of the National Burger Award 2026.
All of the burgers come with a generous portion of rosemary-salted chips served together in a basket. Chips are often overlooked but the main act can only shine with an excellent support act. Honest Burgers has nailed a good chip – well seasoned with salt and rosemary to complement the real meat patties, the chip is potatoey and crispy – 9/10. Sides are generous, perfect for sharing. Serve with one of their homemade lemonades and you have an award winning meal.
