This can all be enjoyed with a selection of delicate finger sandwiches and plain & gingerbread scones.

You can enjoy a tempting selection of savoury bites, including turkey and cranberry bonbons and a smoked salmon and Cornish crab tartare mille-feuille. There are also pretty pastries alongside Christmas treats like a fruit cake with ginger shortbread and vanilla frosting, and a Christmas Present red plum cheesecake with cherry compote.

You can enjoy a yuletide twist on afternoon tea at The Landmark, beneath the eight-story glass atrium of the Winter Garden Restaurant. There will be seasonal savouries and spiced mandarin scones with Valrhona chocolate orange spread, alongside indulgent sweet treats such as white chocolate and cranberry yule logs and a show-stopping Mont Blanc with candied chestnuts and Chantilly cream.

You’ll find yourself in magical surroundings at the Michelin-starred Pavyllon London’s Pavyllon Lounge, which is decked out with stunning decorations including a whopping 25-foot Christmas tree. The Winter Afternoon Tea features truly special savouries of mini pâté en croute and lobster tartlet and warm scones. Look forward to sweet patisseries of smoked vanilla crème brûlée and a grand finale of a beautiful Bûche de Noël (yule log). RAILS Restaurant at Kaya Great Northern Hotel, King’s Cross
Enjoy turkey & cranberry and brie and apple sandwiches at RAILs Restaurant in the epicentre of Christmas shopping, alongside a smoked salmon and crème fraîche roulade. Patisseries include a reindeer-topped Mont Blanc, cranberry and pistachio Christmas tree cupcake and chocolate orange opera cake.

The Kensington
The Kensington is celebrating 18th century decadence this year in collaboration with the V&A’s Marie Antoinette Style exhibition, and continues with a festive twist on its ‘Let Us Eat Cake’ theme. Served in the hotel’s beautiful drawing room, you can nibble on festive sandwiches like roasted turkey with cranberry sauce, before moving on to meltingly-decadent patisserie treats like a blackberry and lemon curd tartlet with blackberry mousse and an almond macaron with raspberries and white chocolate ganache montée. There will, of course, also be mince pies. The afternoon tea is priced at £65 per person, including a selection of Rare Teas, or
£80 per person with The Queen’s Coupe or a glass of Champagne.
