There’s a Place in Kingston
From 27th June to 12th July, discover Kingston’s indie scene with two weeks of exclusive offers and free community activities via the InKingston App. Whether you’re discovering a hidden gem for the first time or returning to an old favourite, there’s always a place in Kingston waiting to welcome you.
To celebrate Independent Business Day on 5th July, Kingston is shining a spotlight on its 200+ independent businesses that make our town such a vibrant place to visit. Inspired by the idea that there’s always a place in Kingston worth recommending, this two-week campaign celebrates the people, stories and passion behind our local businesses while inviting you to discover somewhere new along the way.
Meet the entrepreneurs, makers and creatives who bring Kingston to life, from beloved favourites including The Cheeky Pea, Fortunella, The Fighting Cocks, Local Hero, ExCellar and Pullingers, to many more independent businesses that give the town its unique character and community spirit.
Throughout the campaign, you’ll be able to unlock more than 25 exclusive offers through the InKingston App, making it the perfect time to explore somewhere new. Enjoy 25% off family bookings at VRXtra, 10% off at Local Hero, OLR Cafe and Matte Coffee, 50% off tickets for The Lion Inside at Rose Theatre, alongside many more special discounts available for two weeks only!
You can also join in the celebration with free activities for all ages, including a Community Canvas at Pullingers, prize-winning “Spin the Wheel” games at The Cheeky Pea and Glutopia, Collaborative Pottery at Bonbon Pottery Cafe, and a special giveaway at Tacos MX.
So come along, explore independent Kingston and celebrate the businesses that make our town one of a kind! To remember your visit, pick up a limited-edition tote bag from selected independent businesses (while stocks last).
