As the owner and director of Phoenix Style, Paige Mengers has spent the past 8 years transforming one of Surrey’s original second-hand boutiques into a thriving, multi-store luxury resale business with a strong online presence. With stores in Cobham and Wimbledon, Phoenix Style specialises in expertly curated pre-loved designer fashion and accessories, offering a smarter, more sustainable way to buy and sell luxury.
The inspiration behind Phoenix Style came from a lifelong love of fashion combined with a growing awareness that the traditional fashion model simply wasn’t sustainable. Long before resale became mainstream, Paige recognised the value in extending the life of beautiful pieces and creating a business that made second-hand feel desirable, trusted and effortless.
The one thing people should know about Phoenix Style is simple: it sells fast. Years of experience, sharp pricing, expert authentication and a deep understanding of what customers want, have created a model that works for both buyers and sellers.
“We don’t believe in volume for the sake of it,” Paige says. “Every piece has to deserve its place.”
That discipline has shaped the brand. Heritage labels, investment dressing and exceptional condition define the edit. Clients return not just to buy, but to consign creating a circular model built on long-term relationships rather than fast transactions.
Like many female founders, Paige has faced challenges like economic uncertainty, changing consumer behaviour and the pressures of scaling a business, but adaptability has been key. Her proudest moments include growing a loyal community, expanding into multiple locations, launching a successful online store which expands into several market places and seeing resale move from niche to zeitgeist
Looking ahead to 2026, Phoenix Style plans further growth in bricks and mortar, adding new categories, particularly in fi ne jewellery and luxury handbags within the resale market. What excites her most is continuing to prove that sustainability and style can go hand in hand—and that women-led businesses can lead meaningful change.
