Health Screening

Ask the Expert – Dr Sanchita Sen, medneo Resident GP

1. I’m healthy, fit, and have no known medical problems. Why bother?

It’s wonderful to feel well, but many of the most common health conditions develop quietly. High blood pressure, diabetes, and certain autoimmune conditions can remain hidden until they cause serious complications. Screening gives us the opportunity to identify these risks early, when they are easier to manage and outcomes are far better. The same is true for many cancers: early detection significantly improves the chances of successful treatment. A health screen is essentially an investment in your future wellbeing.

2. How often should I be screened?

That depends on your individual circumstances. Some people come regularly for reassurance, others because of family history or unexplained symptoms. What matters most is that screening provides you with insight and control. It enables you to make informed choices about your health and lifestyle, supported by medical expertise. Your GP can guide you on how frequently screening may be appropriate for you, but a proactive approach is always beneficial.

3. What does a health screening at medneo involve?

At medneo, screenings are designed to be thorough yet seamless. Every full-body check includes a GP consultation, an advanced 3T MRI scan, and a personalised follow-up. We offer a variety of packages focusing on specific concerns such as heart health, prostate, cognitive function, or body composition. Each patient is supported by a dedicated healthcare assistant throughout the process, ensuring comfort and answering any questions along the way. The journey is simple: complete a short health questionnaire, attend your consultation and scans (all in a single visit), and then return for a follow-up with me to discuss your results in detail. Within 10 days, you’ll also receive a personalised health plan.

Your health is your most valuable asset – screening helps you protect it with clarity and confidence.
