Exhibit Balham

Exhibit Balham

Since opening at the turn of the millennium, Exhibit has been Balham’s go to party spot. In recent years though, it’s had quite the shift, with its brunch now becoming one of London’s most talked about.

With clever takes on familiar dishes, Exhibit is raising the bar for brunch in Balham, no small feat given how many spots are around. The Full English isn’t your typical greasy spoon plate. It’s done properly, with Londoner sausages from Chadwicks (Balham’s long standing butcher), maple cured streaky bacon, and house spiced baked beans that add a little kick. Somehow, Chef Antonio has managed to make the most traditional British breakfast feel new again.

The Pulled Pork Benedict is another highlight. Slow cooked pork in tangy barbecue sauce, poached eggs on an English muffin, finished with sriracha hollandaise that gives it just the right amount of heat.

And the one everyone talks about? The Picante Fritters. Spicy jalapeño fritters with eggs, salsa, avocado cream, bacon and sour cream, a mix of sweet and spicy that’ll have you planning your next visit before you’re even done.

But brunch here isn’t just about the food. The bar team, crowned Best Bar in London 2025 at the Muddy Stiletto Awards, keep the drinks flowing. And while yes, you can go bottomless on Prosecco and Mimosas for 90 minutes (£25), Exhibit has made a name for doing things differently. Their focus is on quality, not just quantity. That means hand made cocktails like Espresso and Passion Fruit Martinis, shaken to order, alongside a curated mocktail list if you’re after something lighter.

These days, Exhibit is more than a nightlife spot, it’s a brunch institution. With award winning drinks and a menu from Executive Chef Antonio Raspone, it’s clear why South London keeps talking about it.
