The popular event returns
King’s Arts, the annual celebration of culture and the arts, is back this year from Monday 23rd June until Saturday 28th June.
Taking place at King’s College Wimbledon, the event is set to host a fabulous programme of arts and culture, with talks, concerts, workshops and exhibitions that are all open for the public to visit and attend. The event includes an array of performances by pupils from King’s and its partner schools, as well as three headlining ‘In Conversation’ talks with Alan Carr, Dame Denise Lewis and the Duchess of York.
- In Conversation with Alan Carr hosted by Michael Underwood
- Monday 23rd June – 7.30pm – King’s Festival Marquee
- Award-winning comedian and national treasure, Alan Carr chats to King’s own Michael Underwood. Don’t miss the chance to hear Alan talk about life, comedy and how he manages being one of the most sought-after talents in British broadcasting.
- In Conversation with Dame Denise Lewis hosted by Angellica Bell
- Tuesday 24th June – 7.30pm – King’s Festival Marquee
- Olympic medal-winning athlete, former BBC sports pundit and President of UK Athletics, Dame Denise Lewis DBE will join Angellica Bell, television and radio presenter, for an insightful conversation about her life in sports.
- In Conversation with Sarah, Duchess of York hosted by Chris Rogers
- Wednesday 25th June – 7.30pm – King’s Festival Marquee
- Sunday Times and New York Times bestselling novelist and children’s author, philanthropist and entrepreneur Sarah, Duchess of York will be talking to broadcaster and journalist Chris Rogers about finding a new direction for her writing career in her 60s.

Other events include the Academy of Ancient Music, Kings’ & Partnership Schools String Showcase on the 25th June at King’s Concert Hall, Forty Pianists and Four Pianos on Tuesday 24th June at King’s Concert Hall, and The Band of the Scots’ Guards: Around the World in 80 Minutes on Friday 27th June at King’s Concert Hall.
There will also be plays performed by King’s own students, including the Sixth Form play ‘Remembrance’ written by Kai O’Neill and Patrick Bouch, and the New Writing Festival in which students from Lower Sixth will spend a day bringing their own original work to life.
