Missed out on tickets to The Wimbledon Tennis Championships? Here’s how you can still soak up the buzzing atmosphere of match days.

Game, set, match. The Wimbledon Championships are upon us and there are screens popping up around London and Surrey, so you can keep track of the score, soak up the atmosphere and cheer on at the end of this year’s championships.
1 Murray Mound (Henman Hill)
If you have secured a grounds ticket for this year’s Championships, head to Henman Hill located at the All-England Tennis Club. Find a spot on the grass and get ready to clap and cheer amongst fellow fans. This is unrivalled for atmosphere, especially for the finals, as its large screen and tantalising closeness to Centre Court make it almost as good as a court-side ticket.
2 The Wimbledon Piazza
Love Wimbledon are gearing up for another summer of tennis in Wimbledon town centre, and that means the Big Screen on the Piazza is back! From 30th June – 13th July you can soak up the atmosphere of the Wimbledon Championships by catching every match on the Big Screen, and kick back in their collection of comfy deck chairs. Plus – it’s completely free to go to the Big Screen, so come along and kick your feet up!
3 Wimbledon Quarter
Wimbledon Quarter will also be showcasing the matches on their 5m digital screen with a tennis lounge in the Courtyard – and if the weather’s good, the roof will be open!
4 Dog & Fox
Wimbledon
Located in the heart of Wimbledon Village, and boasting a Sipsmith sipping terrace complete with al fresco ‘Game, Set and Catch’ seafood bar, the Dog & Fox is truly the place to be during the tennis. They will be showing every match, paired with a delectable menu of oysters, lobster rolls and more. This year they’re debuting a very special menu item: tennis ball scotch eggs! Plus, if you’re travelling from afar, you might be tempted by a stay in one of their 23 contemporary boutique bedrooms.

5 Morden Park & Canons House and Grounds
From 4th July to 13th July, outdoor screens showing the tennis will come to Morden Park, as well as Canons House and Grounds in Mitcham, thanks to the partnership between Merton Council and the AELTC. Matches will show on the giant screens throughout the day until the parks’ closing time – and, guess what? Entry is free! No booking needed at all, however there are a limited number of deckchairs available, so the earlier you can snag a seat, the better.

6 Rose & Crown
Wimbledon
At the Rose & Crown you can tuck into tempting patties from their Burger Shack while you catch a match. From Thursday to Sunday you can expect to stay for a great night after the tennis, with their famous marquee live music nights. If you’re partial to elegance, you can indulge in a Bloody Mary breakfast or champagne brunch in the week before the games commence. The pub will be in full bloom and decorated with its signature tennis ball installation.

7 The Refinery Bankside by Drake & Morgan
The Refinery Bankside boasts one of the largest outdoor screens in the capital which will be showing every match of the tennis in style. Catch a match while sipping on their limited edition tennis-themed drink, the Wimbledon-inspired Green & Purple Matcha. Other Drake & Morgan bars with views of large screens from their sunny terraces include The Parlour (Canary Wharf), The Happenstance (St Paul’s) and The Refinery New Street Square (The City).

8 The Alexandra

A stone’s throw from Wimbledon train station, The Alexandra is the perfect place to jump into the fray of the tournament. A long-time favourite local of Wimbledon residents, you can be assured they’ll be making a special time of the tennis. They’ll be screening every match, which you can enjoy alongside an outdoor terrace and live music nights. You can also enjoy their stunning rooftop terrace where you can nibble on delicious pub grub.

9 Rooftop Film Club at the Bussey Building
Peckham
You can watch the tennis from high in the skies at the Rooftop Film Club at the Bussey Building, where they’ll be hosting special screenings of the women’s final (12July) and men’s final (13 July).
10 Big Screen London
Fulham and Dulwich
Big Screen is back to launch a series of quintessentially English garden party-themed live pop-ups within the iconic setting of Dulwich Picture Gallery’s meadow and Eel Brook Common in the heart of Fulham, SW6. See all the serves, slams and volleys in full HD glory at their screenings of the Wimbledon Men’s Final and the Mixed Doubles Final.
11 601 Queen’s Road

If you’re aim is to be as close to the courts as possible, why not pop into 601 Queen’s Road? Not very far from the courts at all, this bar and eatery will be showing the tennis on its screens, whilst serving their delicious all-day menu of gourmet sharing plates, show-stopping burgers and large plates of everything from coconut curry to dry aged rare breed beef.
12 Covent Garden
You can catch the tennis right in the thick of the city at Covent Garden’s huge outdoor screen, alongside plenty of Pimm’s to sip and strawberries and cream to snack on while you spectate. If you get there early enough, you’ll be able to grab a striped deckchair or two.
