Get your little ones in the mood for Halloween
Praise the gourd! We’re blessed with some superb spots in Surrey for getting your hands on those giant orange seasonal squashes for the perfect Jack O’Lantern.
Priory Farm, Redhill
Take a Halloween themed walk through ancient woodland, and enjoy a tractor ride out to the pumpkin fields – Priory Farm grows over 10,000 every year. Pick up a pumpkin to carve at home, and stock up on seasonal foods at the farm shop to cook up an autumnal feast.
Crockford Bridge Farm, Addlestone
Crockford Bridge is Addlestone’s pumpkin haven. There’s pumpkin picking until the 17th October and then a pumpkin festival in the final week of October, where you can take part in a magical journey through a land inspired by Willy Wonka with theatre, circus and fairground rides.
Garson’s Farm, Esher
This year there’s a pumpkin parade, where you can enter the tunnels with your wheelbarrow and emerge into the magical world of pumpkins. Featuring dazzling displays and loads of photo opportunities, you can choose from an abundance of pumpkins along the way and pick the perfect one to take home.
Secretts Farm, Milford
Pumpkin Week features a decorated walkway to the pumpkin field, biscuit decorating and a fancy dress competition. In addition, this year there’s a fancy dress competition to win a hamper of Halloween sweet treats. For foodie parents, head to the farm shop, which has a cheese counter with over 300 varieties, and don’t forget some great sourdough and cookies.
Rogate Pumpkin Patch (Hampshire/West Sussex)
If you fancy travelling a bit father afield, tickets are now available for Rogate’s magical outdoor event, where you can pick your own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and enjoy a whole host of family friendly attractions and activities, including Merlin’s Wood, the collection of witchy play houses designed for immersive exploring, and Mutiny’s Bottom, the pirate-themed playground complete with a racetrack and hook-a-duck. Venture down between 17th October and 2nd November to pick your pumpkins and explore Rogate’s magical lands.
