Where to watch the Six Nations

Here’s where to watch the Six Nations

Rugby season is almost upon us, and if you didn’t manage to get a seat at Twickenham, never fear. Here’s where to go instead…

1

Cabbage Patch

Twickenham

As possibly the most famous rugby pub in the world, this list would be remiss without mentioning the Cabbage Patch, of course. You can book match days there and soak in the glorious atmosphere surrounded by fellow superfans – but book quickly, because it’s in demand!

2

The Crown

Twickenham

Located right by the home of rugby, The Crown is another ideal place to catch a pint before you head to the stadium, or to settle down to watch on one of the pub’s large flat screen TVs. Those visiting with their squad can book their own private room accommodating up to 40 people to guarantee a memorable matchday viewing.

3

The Orange Tree

Richmond

If you find the Cabbage Patch all booked up, you can jump across the river to The Orange Tree – another renowned favourite in which to watch the rugby. They’re promising buzzy watch-parties every game, alongside yummy burgers and beers.

4

The Falcon

Clapham

The Falcon in Clapham is partnering with Guinness, bringing the tournament to life in big-game style. As one of London’s largest sports pubs, you can expect flowing pints, a ripple machine printing guests’ faces onto their pints, as well as a beer garden transformed into a Six Nations playground, complete with deck chairs, rugby balls and multiple large screens for an electric matchday atmosphere.

5

The Alexandra

Wimbledon

They love rugby over at the Alexandra, and will be proving it with some buzzy, electric game days, with the drinks cellar stocked – and they’ll be taking group bookings.

6

White Hart

Barnes

This stylish pub along the Thames will be showing every game. Their food menu is gorgeous, from starters of smoked salmon or squid to mains of Cumberland sausage, sirloin steak and king prawn pappardelle. This pub truly comes alive during rugby season, so be sure to get involved.

7

The Ship

Wandsworth

This chic riverside pub has always been a favourite haunt of rugby fans. Another favourite: their Guinness. If you’re a Guinness lover, be sure to stop in on match-days for a rich, dark pint and a healthy dose of rugby fandom.

8

The Alma

Wandsworth

A favourite amongst Wandsworth sports fans, The Alma can be trusted to bring the energy throughout the tournament with every match being shown across 10 huge screens. The pub’s pop-up Guinness tent will also be returning to the patio, alongside a tournament-exclusive Guinness infused Scotch Egg, made with black pudding and a reduction of the black stuff, available for the duration of the competition.
